Welcome to the last blog, at least related to my Social Media for Organizations class. This week’s blog will be about MegaFM (my favorite radio station) and a TikTok video that I made about them. I chose this company because I have always listened to them since I remember listening to the radio. When I come back to Portugal, I’m always driving from place to place. Most of my friends connect the radio to their phones and choose the music they are listening to but I never do that, I always listen to MegaFM, when I don’t like the song I just put the volume down. I have a friend that is working there right now, as an intern. I asked him if I could do this and he said that hundreds of people do it everyday so there shouldn’t be a problem.
My idea was to make a video driving my car, because that’s when I am listening to their station. I was coming back home and a song comes on, and I knew the lyrics. I knew he was gonna say “highway” at a certain point of the song. My goal was to enter the highway at the same exact time he says it and I almost made it, I was late for like 1 or 2 seconds.
To be honest, my TikTok experience is none and I have never had the desire to make TikToks so this assignment was a challenge for me. I like the final result because it’s a big coincidence, recorded on video. I hope you guys can understand it too!
